One of my modules during the second semester of my second year at University was Motion Graphics. During this time I created a video infographic to showcase fun facts about Norway. Below I will show my finished result and how I came to this.
Storyboard and mood board
I started the project by making a mind map of possible topics that interests me, like traveling or animating a food recipe. I settled on making an infographic about Norway for an airline company. I chose this because it was something I had never done before and I also had a lot of different ways I could interpret it. I then searched Pinterest for inspiration and created a moodboard of designs I liked, as well as a font and colors in the countrys colors. I also created a storyboard after writing a script consisting of 10 different and random facts.
Designing in Illustrator
All my graphics were made in Adobe Illustrator.
I used After Effects to create my infographic. I really enjoy this software and learnt a lot of new things during this project, for example using the liquify effect to create an effect of moving water and the slider control to create a customizable number counter.
My gantt chart.
I used Trello to stay organized throughout the semester.
